Inspector Gadget Remix

Years ago one of the things I started doing was "remixing" old cartoon characters, Among the most notable ones was a Rainbow Brite design that went on to influence my friend to want to do the entire line up of characters from the show which we finally finished a few months ago. But one of my other better redesigned characters was this Inspector Gadget image from 2003. The idea at the time much like the RB images was to give the characters a slightly more realistic or serious design that went beyond their simply cartoony origins.

I thought I'd lost the original pencil art for a long time but discovered it in some old storage containers and decided to show again since it seems to have stood the test of time.
