Arial and Helvetica : One Man's Art...

WHAT? A brand NEW Arial & Helvetica strip?? In 2013?? AND IN COLOR??!!1?
(...derp, I put the date as 2012 instead of 2013. Sorry I was finishing this at like 5am.)

Yeah... Now don't jump to conclusions, I Haven't fully gotten back into the groove, but this gag was one that came to me after seeing numerous artists that I follow expressing sadness over their current artistic situations and seeing so many of them mirroring my own feelings (self doubt, money concerns, etc.). I'd fallen into a rut of not drawing as much as I used to after being laid off from my last full time art job. Despite the fact that Angry Viking had wanted to print my comic Happiness is a Warm Gun, I was finding it hard to get the creative spark and hold on to it long enough to get moving not only on that but on all the other projects that had started piling up on top of me. Most where my own, but I also took on too many projects for other people trying to keep myself fed, and all forward momentum ground to a dead stop (as did my income!). In that dead stop I started examining my situation and the depression set in. I'm clawing my way out of it slowly, delving into making MMD videos as a hobby lately which helps, but seeing so many other people showing the same reactions is what lead to this idea which only seemed right as an A&H strip!

Just my way of saying we've all been there and will probably be there again at some point, but it doesn't last forever and you'll start creating again eventually.
